In Electronics we have made a Emergency light For our survival kit. Soldiering was hard because you needed to connect wires and resistors to make a parallel circuit and they soldering didn't always stick. The LED didn't always Stay down so I used some pliers to hold onto the resistor because it gets really hot. My favourite thing to do was setting up where to LEDS, Wires and resistors where they were going to sit. 

Class points

In class we have been doing table Points Our group is Called the little child group This week We won  with 230 points! And Our prize wasfree time for 30 minutes. We get points for doing good work, Working slentle and listening. I think its good because we get rewards for doing good things in the classroom.

Snow is war

Snow drops onto the cold winter English homes, spraying like the waterhose in the years before, giving so much just like the food that we use to have, big chunks of ice just like the families, cold just as our brothers and fathers are charging through, hail just as hard as a bullet going through dad's legs. When guns strikes so does my life, my brother has gone dad’s just a body, not any limbs not any feeling. I have noticed that war is the worst time. All Mama and my sisters can do is hide in the little bunker fighting for survival.

This is the process I went through designing my Key tag.

Furnware Trip

Room 11,12 and 10 all went to the Furnware for an amazing trip to see how innovation has helped them in three difficult times. we looked at how it got made and  where the tables and chairs where stored and we even got to design our one tables for a sheppard house competition the winning table gets made for that class. Furnware was made 1934 back then furnware was called Furniture & woodware they made stuff for prisons,school and they made coffins. My favorite part was when we went into manechine room it was so call it was nosey and heaps of machines craving wood put the sides on bending metal for the legs and a oven that was 260 degrees hot.

Ovenless awesomeness- rocky road

the recipe was:

100g dark chocolate 

1 1/2 Tbsp golden syrup 

70g butter

50g marshmallows chopped up 

100g biscuits 

raisins and or cranberries

coconut to top it off 

method:

1) place biscuits into a bag and crush them until they're broken up. put aside.

2) Melt the butter, chocolate and golden syrup in the microwave on a gentle heat.

3) Cut up marshmallows into tiny bits and add raisins and or cranberries and your to your biscuit mix.

4)  Mix your butter/ chocolate mix together.

5) Make into a log on baking paper. cover in coconut.

6) put your names on the outside and refrigerate till for 4 hours or until set.

Class Music

The term we have started class music we are split up into half one of the groups go on tuesday and the other on friday this is what we have done so far.

In room 11 we have started to do Persuasive writing show what we agree on. we had to mark ourselves then mr billings this is my one.

Should schools offer fast food options like McDonald’s or Pizza Hut?

What's the first thing you think about when someone says fast food while you might think frozen coke or maybe burgers but do you think that's the healthiest option? No , here's two words when I think of frozen coke and burgers, SUGAR and SALT.

Kids, why would you ever think of giving a child a fat filled lunch from mcdonald's instead of a homemade sandwich that's filled with ham, cheese, tomato, lettuce and homemade sauce to top it off.

What's in fast food that's so unhealthy

Oil is used to deep fry and fry chips and meat.

Sugar is in frozen coke, mcfluffers, ice cream, soft drinks the list goes on.

Mandarin Lessons

In Class we are learning Mandarin  we have learnt how to say our names in characters and writing. our teacher is Tracy. We have learnt how to count to 50 and also our chinese zodiac I am a roaster because I was born in 2005. Here is the video for the great zodiac race: click here.

House design- Mat

In class we have made a house design for maths to do with area, volume and composite shape. in my house i have squares, rectangles and triangles. I have 3 spare rooms and one big master bedroom with ensuite and a bathroom I Have an open kitchen, lounge and a snug room that is warm lounge. A garage, bathroom and a separate toilet and a deck, have a look.
